Read what parents have said about Float To Stroke Swim School:

"Four of my five children have taken swim lessons from Lisa and my fifth will start this year! Lisa has an amazing program for water safety and swimming. I love that my children learn to float safely on their backs before they learn anything else! Besides being safer in and around water, when they do start learning strokes they feel more comfortable, knowing they can always go the their backs for a rest. My children love the water and have become confident swimmers as a result of this program. It is work for them, but as we have stayed with the lessons their confidence has grown as they learn they can do hard things. Lisa's approach is gentle which really appealed to me. Your child will not be thrown in the water alone. Most of my children started lessons when just one year old and could float alone even at this young age! I recommend Lisa Hogge as a fabulous swim instructor! Thanks Lisa!."
- Amberly Watkins Purles, Alpine, Utah

"We have seen an amazing improvement in Olivia’s ability to function in and under water. Three weeks ago she couldn’t put her face under without crying. Now she is so confident and learning to swim after mastering the float. She lea--rned so much more than if we would have been working with her all summer."
-Erika Smith, Draper, Utah

"Lisa’s swim method is so effective that you see real results quickly."  My 2 year old has overcome her fear of the water and now knows how to float. Lisa is very patient and good with children. We have been taking lessons from her for the past six years and hope to be able to take for many more."
-Elise Swenson, Alpine, Utah

"My Sophie, she cried from the moment she left the womb, and that's no exaggeration! :) I remember the day Sophie, (at age 2) became the first toddler my sister, Lisa swam with this method. Sophie is a spitfire and she let her best shine as Lisa worked with her in the water. She cried and loudly! Even though I should've been used to it at this point in Sophie's life :), I admit the crying during the swim lessons bothered me at first. I just had that mom instinct of wanting to do something to fix it. But she got better and better and I found she actually did the best when I wasn't in the pool area, because she wasn't worried about me. It was worth it because I have yet to worry about Sophie in the pool since. She has been a confident swimmer from a young age and is currently 9 years old and swimming with the Pleasant Grove Swim Team. She just recently got 2nd place at her first 2011 summer meet in the 25 Butterfly! Lisa hadn't started her program when my older daughter was little, so she wasn't able to start with this method at a young age like Sophie. However, she was able to take some lessons from Lisa when she was older. Mallorie has found her niche with swimming. She has competed and won medals at the Utah Summer Games, swam with HAST in American Fork and currently swims with Pleasant Grove Swim Team. She is the fastest in her age group in Pleasant Grove for both the 50 Free and 50 Butterfly. She wakes up on her own every morning at 6:15 am daily for practice all summer long...and for those of you with teenagers you know how much they like to sleep, so you'll appreciate that level of dedication! I'm grateful that my girls are both confident, strong swimmers. Swimming to me is just one of those "have-to" life skills, and this method works."
-Aimee Charlton, Pleasant Grove, Utah

"Both my children have learned to swim from Float to Stroke. It has built my older child’s confidence in the water and given her a love of water. My youngest child started when she was 8 months old and at age 2 she was jumping off the diving board! I have loved the extremely positive yet aggressive approach. My kids built a trust for the teacher at the very start. I would recommend Float to Stroke to anyone, especially if there is a water fear or if the child is very young."
-Jenni Whitmire, Alpine, Utah

"This will be the 3rd year my five boys have taken lessons from Float to Stroke Swim School. We sure have loved our experience there. I had a few boys who were really afraid of the water. With the help of Float to Stoke, fear has been replaced with confidence. They now all love the water. And all five children have learned water safety, which to me is the most important. My oldest son is 7 and is learning the swim stokes now and honestly loves to swim. I am grateful for a program like this, where a child can change his or her fears of the water to confidence, and at the same time learn to swim and be water safe."
-Stephanie Lapray, American Fork, Utah

"I am from Provo, Utah and the Provo river flows right through our back yard. Because of the inherent risks, I investigated swim lessons for my daughter at an early age. I was pleased to learn about Lisa Hogge's success in working with young children, and I started my daughter, Cheyenne, in Float to Stroke a few days after her first birthday. I was shocked at how quickly my daughter learned to float and survive in the water. Within three weeks, she was fully capable of floating on her back. She could assume a floating position even after going down the slide or off the diving board by simply rolling to her back after entering the water. Though I have never left my daughter alone by the river, I feel much safer having participated in the Float to Stroke program. Cheyenne loves the water, and I'm excited to see how she will progress working with Lisa this summer."
-Lisa Pratt, Provo, Utah

"My children have taken lessons from Lisa since she started teaching and we can't wait to sign up for the upcoming season! My 2 youngest children are ages 6 and 3 and they have been taking since they were 18 months. They both cried when they started but I stayed strong and endured the 3 weeks as they made enormous progress and learned to float on their backs so that they were self sufficient in the water. We have a backyard pool so I am such a believer in teaching very small children to swim. By 2-3 years old they were very confident in the water and they continue to improve their abilities. Lisa is VERY patient and consistent with every age child. Her technique has proven to be very effective in teaching my children to swim."
-Melanie Wood,  Alpine, Utah

"My twins took survival swimming lessons from Lisa Hogge from when they were infants every summer until they were confident swimmers. At first, they did not like the water in their face, but I am so sold on this method of teaching kids to swim and to be safe in the water, that I was just fine with that crying for a few days. They quickly learned how to flip over to their backs and float so that they could breathe in case they ever fell into our pool. A few summers later, they learned the strokes of swimming and quickly became confident swimmers. As a pool owner and a frequent visitor to Lake Powell, water safely for my babies was so important to me. Lisa gave my children the skills they needed to save their lives if it was ever necessary. I so appreciate her program and her ability to teach and love children. I would recommend this program to anyone thinking about a life saving way to help their children be confident and comfortable in the water."
-JoAnne Colemere, Alpine, Utah

"We couldn't be happier with our experience.  My initial concern was that 10 minutes wouldn't be long enough to see improvement but the changes in all 3 children has been so drastic.  We loved our experience here."
-Heather Holker, Highland, Utah

"You are AMAZING and we have loved the experience.  Both of my children have developed lifesaving skills and confidence in the water."
-Lauren Gruwell, Spanish Fork, Utah

"In 5 lessons my daughter was swimming across the pool, which she wasn’t doing with 3 consecutive classes at the public pool.  Evelyn has spinal bifida and  had an intense fear of the water until she met Lisa in the summer of 2017 summer.  Her skills improved tremendously, once she learned to trust Lisa."
-Shantel Anderson, Orem, Utah

"Lisa is very calming with Conner in the pool.  This has been a great experience for him.  I was excited to see the progress that he made with just a few weeks of lessons."
-Mary Lawrence, Utah

"This has been a wonderful experience.  I am so grateful for Lisa’s gift and how she shares it.  She has built Emi’s self-esteem and confidence and she has given Live & Gia lifetime skills."
-Ardice Lorcheider, Alpine, Utah

"I am so impressed and we loved the lessons. Kennedy has majorly improved and Kruz can float! Thank you for being patient with us."
-Keena Harris, Utah
