Meet Our Instructors

When trusting others with your children, their safety and care come first. Get to know our dedicated instructors and the passion they bring to teaching.

Lisa Hogge

Picture
Lisa Hogge is a Master Instructor with 22 years of experience at Float2Stroke Swim School. She also taught the Red Cross Method in Las Vegas, Nevada, for seven years. Lisa has trained extensively in survival swimming, completing over 200 hours of in-water instruction under Master Instructor Pam Young. She specializes in working with children, particularly those with water fears, using proven techniques to help them gain confidence in the water.

With a B.A. in Elementary Education and a minor in Physical Education, Lisa combines her expertise in child development with her passion for swimming instruction. Her deep understanding of how children learn ensures that every lesson is engaging, effective, and tailored to individual needs.

Beyond the pool, Lisa is a certified Level One Yoga Instructor and an advocate for health, fitness, and community involvement. Whether she's teaching swim techniques or supporting local initiatives, her dedication to helping others shines through.

Marissa Carson

Picture
Marissa Jade Carson is a graduate student of Float2stroke Swim School. She took lessons from Lisa when she was 8 months old and is excited to be training with the helping hands of her former teacher.
Marissa has been compared to a mermaid on a regular basis.  Her middle name means “‘Daughter of the Sea.” She has also dressed up as Ariel for children’s birthday parties, wearing a tail and jumping into the pool to swim around with the all the young children.
In her free time, when she's not acting like a fish, she dances, sings and has taught multiple dance classes to young children, teenagers and even adults! She loves helping others learn the activities she enjoys and has fun when she’s doing what she loves the very most.
She has won two competitions on a national level, one being in vocal performance and another in dance choreography! When Marissa isn't dancing, you can find her in the water or up in the mountains breathing with the trees. She loves to get out, move and be with her friends and family. Marissa will be attending Westminster University in the Fall and is super excited to train at Float2Stroke Swim School this Summer. She is looking forward to getting to know the parents and especially learning the great techniques that have kept Float2Stroke Swim School in business for 22 seasons.

Kailee Tribe

Picture
Kailee Tribe grew up surrounded by swimming, taking ISR lessons at just 2 years old and later learning from her mom, Master Instructor Lisa Hogge. Over the years, she gained hands-on experience assisting Lisa with lessons, developing a deep passion for teaching kids how to swim. Kailee loves helping children build confidence in the water and finds joy in seeing their progress.

Kailee worked as a teachers aid in 2023 and then went onto earn her Masters degree in Education in January of 2025.
Kailee will not be teaching this swim season because she became a first time mom on December 27th of 2024 and is enjoying spending time with her beautiful daughter Ronnie and her husband Cameron. In her spare time she enjoys snow skiing, pickle ball, playing her harp every once and a while and spending time in the mountains with her extended family.
